KIDS OPEN STAGE IS NOW MONTHLY!

 

I’ve been getting stopped by parents lately

Asking about the next KIDS OPEN STAGE

 

So I went to book one, and I’m glad I did

Because now I’m really looking forward

To the SECOND SUNDAY OF EACH MONTH!

 

KIDS OPEN STAGE was not my idea alone

Lucia of Dave’s Gourmet Pizza asked me

On the same day I was going to ask her…

 

When Dave’s changed hands, so did we

I forget who suggested Ellington’s

I would love to thank them

 

Ellington’s is a musical café & oasis

With a real stage and microphones

Many sizes of hand drums in-house

And a vibe that is as gentle as it is groovy

 

Sometimes we applaud by drumming

And I bring ukuleles for strumming

 

Families are encouraged to sing together

And kids can sing alone, if that’s better

Teddy bears get their own microphone

 

Many kinds of talents are welcome

Even comedians, I guess…
